FAQs | STAR Immunotherapy Study

What is STAR

STAR stands for Symptomatic Toxicities Assessment and Reporting, a system that helps us better understand the side effects you may experience during immunotherapy. It allows us to ask how you’re feeling — including symptoms like tiredness, pain, nausea, skin changes, stomach problems, or mood changes — and to track these symptoms over time, noting when they start, how long they last, and how much they affect your daily life so we can get a complete picture of your health during treatment.

Why This Study Matters

  1. Little information has been captured patient's experiences on checkpoint inhibitors using patient reported outcomes
  2. Existing tools do not address many symptomatic toxicities that are related to checkpoint inhibitors.
