El Dr. Frank Penedo es un experto reconocido internacionalmente en la supervivencia al cáncer y oncología psicosocial. Es el Director Asociado del Cancer Survivorship & Translational Behavioral Sciences y el Director del Cancer Survivorship Program Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Su investigación se centra en los mecanismos psicosociales, socioculturales y bioconductuales de base de los procesos de enfermedades crónicas y los resultados de salud.
La Dra. Amelie Ramírez es una investigadora y vocera reconocida internacionalmente sobre las desigualdades en la salud del cáncer entre los latinos. Es Directora del Instituto para la Investigación para Promoción de la Salud (Institute for Health Promotion Research), Presidenta del Departamento de Ciencias de la Salud de la Población (Population Health Sciences Department) en UT Health San Antonio y Directora Asociada del Programa de Extensión y Participación Communitaria del Mays Cancer Center.
