Yasmin A. Lyons, DO, MS

Yasmin Lyons, DO, is an assistant professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and a board-certified, fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologist at Mays Cancer Center, home to UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center. She specializes in treating gynecologic cancers and complicated benign conditions. She has advanced surgical training in laparoscopy, robotics, and radical pelvic and upper abdominal surgery. 

She received her medical degree from The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Forth Worth and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Houston Methodist Hospital. Lyons was awarded a National Library of Medicine grant and spent two years researching ovarian cancer at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She then completed her fellowship training in gynecologic oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
