Usha Perepu, MD

Usha Perepu, MD, is a clinical professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. She is the director of classical hematology at Mays Cancer Center, home to UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center. She received her medical degree in India and completed her internal medicine residency and hematology fellowship in the United Kingdom and Iowa. Her clinical and research interests are in classical hematology (non-cancerous blood disorders), which includes hemorrhagic (bleeding) and thrombosis (clotting) disorders, sickle cell disease, anemia, thrombocytopenia, iron metabolism disorders, obstetric hematologic conditions and rare genetic blood diseases.
