About Saba Shaikh, MD
Saba Shaikh, MD, is an assistant professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and a fellowship-trained breast medical oncologist at Mays Cancer Center, home to UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center.
She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. She subsequently completed an internal medicine residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University and a hematology-oncology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she also served as chief fellow in her final year.
She is passionate about treating patients with breast cancer and educating the next generation of oncologists. She is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology and an active member of many professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer, the American Association for Cancer Research and the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group.
