About Ruth Manns, LMSW
Ruth, LMSW, is a licensed master social worker whose career is rooted in compassion, advocacy and a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families through life’s most challenging moments. As part of the Patient and Family Services team at Mays Cancer Center, she provides thoughtful support and guidance to patients and caregivers navigating cancer care.
Ruth has experience across oncology care, homelessness services, behavioral health, pediatric social work and community support programs. She specializes in connecting patients and families with resources, conducting psychosocial assessments and helping address emotional, practical and financial challenges that may arise during treatment.
Known for her attentive listening skills and calm, empathetic approach, Ruth is dedicated to meeting people where they are and ensuring every patient and family feels heard, respected and supported throughout their care journey.
Outside of her professional role, Ruth volunteers with older adult communities and local food banks, reflecting her ongoing commitment to service, dignity and human connection.
