About Ismail Jatoi, MD, PhD, FACS
Ismail Jatoi, MD, PhD, FACS, is a professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He specializes in breast surgical oncology.
He obtained his bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and his medical and doctorate degrees from St. Louis University. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He completed fellowship training in surgical oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
Dr. Jatoi served in the United States military for many years and was a professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. He retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of colonel.
