About Alexandria Gawlik, SLPD, CCC-SLP
Alexandria Gawlik, SLPD, CCC-SLP, is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders within the School of Health Professions at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She specializes in diagnostic assessment and rehabilitation for individuals with head and neck cancer at Mays Cancer Center, home to UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her areas of expertise include swallowing, voice, and upper airway disorders.
Dr. Gawlik has over eight years of experience as a speech-language pathologist in military medical settings. Before her current role, she was an adjunct lecturer at UT Health San Antonio and worked for various military medical organizations, including the Veteran Affairs, Department of Defense and Defense Health Agency.
