Breast cancer research with global impact

BRCA1 and BRCA2 are genes that help protect the body by fixing damaged DNA and keeping cells healthy. When these genes have changes, or mutations, they don’t work the way they should. This can raise the risk of certain cancers, like breast, ovarian, prostate and pancreatic cancer.
