    About Kirsten Murray, MS, CGC

    Kirsten Murray, MS, CGC, is a certified genetic counselor in the Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She specializes in providing genetic counseling services to children and their families.

    Murray is also involved with the Genetic Risk Assessment for Cancer in All South Texas (GRACIAS) program, which provides high-risk cancer screening and cancer genetic education in underserved communities.

    As a genetic counselor, she focuses on individuals with a personal or family history of cancer. She performs genetic risk assessments, identifies hereditary cancer syndromes, coordinates genetic testing and educates patients about their future cancer risks and available medical management options. Her genetic counseling training covers various specialties, including prenatal, pediatrics and oncology.
