About This Event
Practical Applications of New Agents in Oncology is a nationally recognized conference for healthcare professionals designed to provide information on the results of clinical studies of new anticancer agents and current treatment strategies. National experts presenting at this conference will be addressing these needs and sharing their expert opinion. In addition, attendees will learn how to use pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine approaches to help in the selection of novel new therapies for patients.
The conference will give an up-to-date review of recently approved new agents and promising investigational agents in oncology and hematology and will provide educational opportunities for healthcare professionals such as: hematology/oncology fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, pharmacists, and clinical research coordinators.
Topics will include:
- New molecular targets and the underlying molecular mechanisms for new drug development.
- Novel targeted therapies & immunotherapies that have been approved over the last two years, as well as those that are likely to be approved.
- Drug development pipelines.
- The transition from drug development in Biopharma to clinical trials.
It is a continuing education (CME) activity designed for healthcare professionals specializing in oncology and hematology.

1. Abstract Categories:

2. Abstracts are to be written in Arial Font at 11 point. The size limit for the abstract (including title, body and tables) is 3400 characters. This does not include spaces.
3. Abstracts must include all authors & institutions; all authors will need to complete financial disclosures; please click here.
4. Identify lead author with an asterisk.
5. 3 references are allowed, these should be cited numerically in the text and placed under “References Cited” with titles included.
6. Abbreviations can be used as long they are defined at their first mention in the text. The author and institution list are not included in the character limit.
7. One author listed on the abstract must be registered and present at the conference. If you are selected to present, you must agree to stay the entire duration of the conference. Presenters will be notified by e-mail in April 2023.
8. If the abstract is accepted, presenters will be contacted in regard to the production and printing of their poster.
9. Awards will be offered to nurses, graduate students, medical students, postdoctoral fellows, physicians-in-training, pharmacists and researchers whose abstracts are accepted for presentation at the 2023 PANAO based upon the quality of their abstracts
